Couples
Rekindle the relationship you want
Arguments and disconnection do not have to be the whole story.
Do you and your partner argue more than you used to? Do the same fights come back, even when you both promised they would not? Many couples find themselves talking less, touching less, and feeling more like roommates than partners.
Disconnection can sneak in slowly. You may still care deeply and still feel far apart. Counseling is a place to say what has been hard to say at home — and to learn a different way of hearing each other.
Research has found that the average couple waits seven years after problems begin before seeking counseling. You do not have to wait that long.
Couples therapy can help you interrupt the old argument, rebuild a sense of being on the same side, and rekindle the romance that first brought you together. The work is practical. It asks both people to show up.
Couples therapy starts with weekly sessions. The intake is a couples assessment, then an individual session for each partner, then couples work. Sessions are 50 minutes. Homework is often given.
